Hayley Hughes is an Australian author and working mother who writes to heal. Her debut memoir, Thank You, Burnout, is a journal through burnout to newfound life. Hayley’s writing offers a sincere example of finding peace in a world so complicated and burnt out.
Rich in poetic portrayals of courage, vulnerability, healing, self-help and personal transformation, Hayley’s story aims to inspire hope in others facing self-imposed overwork and unsustainable ambition.
Hayley holds a Bachelor of Communication (Business) and has been the recipient of academic and corporate excellence recognition throughout her career.
In 2024, burnout compelled Hayley to trade her successful general practice management career for a more fulfilling life. Prior to her fifteen-year contribution to primary healthcare management, Hayley also excelled within the corporate sector across communications and sales roles.
Today, Hayley works at a specialist practice.
Home for Hayley and her family is a small acreage block on the edge of the forest in Queensland, Australia. Hayley’s husband, two sons and two Australian kelpies share her fondness for their green sanctuary, hidden creek and all.
